In this blog, I’ll be focusing on the below:
- writing – I love writing and want to be published. Ideally, I’d love to do this professionally instead of writing on the side. I will document my journey, the resources I’m using, and the things that I learn or work for me.
- reading – reading is one of my favourite hobbies, but I get into my own head and don’t read as much as I’d like to. I’m planning on reading and reviewing more so that I can be a better writer. By having posts to reflect on, it will allow me to look back and see how my writing has developed.
- self improvement – I want to get into a better routine and will give regular updates about what I’m trying and what is working. I want to do this for my health and productivity without sacrificing my mental health. I’m hoping that by taking a holistic approach to productivity, I’ll be able to do the things that I want to do in a way that isn’t overwhelming.Â
As I was writing Katie’s Convos, I felt I wanted a change in my focus for the blog. I enjoyed blogging and having a space to learn and reflect. I made some great connections through people reading the blog (which was great and appreciated!). I learned a lot from it, but eventually I decided that I needed to retire it.
I’ve been reflecting about this for a year and now have a better idea of where I want to go with it.
I’m hoping that my page will develop more as I go. I’m going to be reposting some of my previous blog posts because they’re about reading, writing, or about overcoming obstacles in life. It will be helpful for me to reflect on these to see how my writing has improved, to explore what I’ve learned from reading books, and to track my writing journey.
